Looking for a Christmas gift idea that is a little bit different?
If you know someone who likes reading about railways then we have the perfect present!
The Lincolnshire Wolds Railway Society has produced a number of budget-priced books on the history of the county’s railways written by local author Alf Ludlam.
The first series, ‘Trains to the Lincolnshire Seaside,’ features railways to the coastal resorts of Mablethorpe & Sutton on Sea, Skegness and Cleethorpes.
The second series, ‘Branch Lines of East Lincolnshire’, describes the long-lost rail routes from Louth to Bardney, Woodhall Junction to Horncastle and Firsby to Spilsby.
Each book is priced £6.95 and if you order all three volumes of either series online at www.lwrs.uk you can get free postage!
