The LWR maintenance team has just completed the much-needed refurbishment of the exterior of the Great Northern Railway style signal box at Ludborough station.
The Winter weather has taken its toll on the box’s exterior woodwork over the past few years, so the closed season from January to March presented the opportunity to erect scaffolding and carry out the necessary repairs and give it a fresh coat of paint.
Now the job is finished and the box will make a fine sight for the public when trains start running on Mothers Day.
