Every summer weekend up to the 1960s hundreds of steam-hauled ‘trip trains’ used to bring people from all over the Midlands for a jolly day out at the Lincolnshire seaside resorts of Skegness, Mablethorpe & Sutton on Sea and Cleethorpes.
Local railway author and historian Alf Ludlam will be recalling those heady days when he gives an illustrated talk at the New Bolingbroke Local History Group meeting at 7.30pm on Tuesday 13th March, 2018 at the Town Hall, Main Road, New Bolingbroke, Lincolnshire PE22 7LD.
Everyone is welcome on the night. Entry is £2.50 for non-members, £1 for members.
