Steam Running Day – Steam Punk Extravaganza

Sun 2 August 2026

Cogs, goggles and finery at our Steam Punk Extravaganza — Nanty Narkins. Free entry to the event field, with trains at standard fares.

Nanty Narkins

Lords, ladies, gentlemen and intrepid chrononauts — welcome to the steampunk event at the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway.

Step aboard our vintage steam train, which will transport you to the New Inn at North Thoresby where you can rest your gears and wet your whistle. Light refreshments can also be purchased in the Steaming Kettle at Ludborough Station.

Wander through the events field exploring the craft stalls, items of interest and eccentric attire. Have a game of croquet.

Curious spectacles

Enjoy delightful live performances from a traditional Punch and Judy show and the Boston Dancing Witches, including the competitive art of tea duelling. Walk about with Inferno, Pumpkin and friends, and come and meet RSG Reptiles — an immersive day for all.
